THE WEDDING COLLECTION
Yes, THE wedding collection. Photography is one of the biggies on your "Things We Need To Book For Our Wedding" list and the only decision I want you to have to make about it is, "Yes, we want Kaylie behind the camera."
I am so incredibly happy you are considering me to be your wedding photographer! Please let me know if you have any questions.
This slideshow takes you from beginning to end of a wedding day with one of my recent couples.
Each and every delivered image will be edited and added to your own online gallery. Within the gallery, you will be able to view all the photos, share them via email or social media and order high quality, color corrected prints from professional print lab. There are other products available for purchase as well such as greeting cards and matte board prints. The seamless integration with your gallery makes ordering and sharing a snap!
You will receive a flash drive with all your edited, high resolution images. I will also include a print release in case you decide to order somewhere other than your online gallery. The files are yours, forever. So yeah, go ahead and use them on Christmas cards for the rest of your lives. Weddings typically result in around 75 images/hour of coverage, ballpark.
AKA your wedding photography headquarters. Your personal client portal will house your contract, invoice, timeline questionnaire and any other items I send you regarding your wedding photography. Everything all in once place so you won't have to dig through emails to find your timeline or to make a payment! I've set up a sample portal, complete with a contract and invoice for you to see what those look like if you're curious.
I chose Kaylie as our photographer not only because she is beyond talented and amazing at what she does but also because of who she is. She is a beautiful person inside and out. She was so much fun and easy to work with and super funny (bonus) 😊She made both my husband and me feel so comfortable and truly captured who we were as a couple. I can't tell you how many times I emailed her with the most random wedding questions from photos to what colors I should choose, she willingly helped me with anything I needed. Every encounter we had with her was real, natural, and most importantly, it was fun. She, hands down, is the best.
As Michael Scott would say (what Kaylie should say):
"Why don't I tell you what my greatest weaknesses are? I work too hard, I care too much, and sometimes I can be too invested in my job."

I'm about to get real honest. I got married four years ago and absolutely adore our wedding photos. But guess what? I don't log into my online gallery very often to scroll through them. However, I do have a beautiful selection of printed photos that sit on my desk and I see them every day.
Digital images are wonderful and your online gallery will beautifully showcase the day, but I'm tellin ya, the printed photos are the ones you'll look at again and again. That's why I offer a selection of professionally printed (they're color corrected and printed with museum quality papers and inks from talented photo labs here in the U.S.) albums, products and prints. These products are all available for purchase through your online gallery.
My personal favorites are the linen cover albums, gallery boards and semi-gloss finish prints!
Yayy!!! Send me an email letting me know you've decided to book your wedding and the number of hours you'd like to book. I'll respond with another "yay!" and email you a digital contract to review and sign as well as a digital invoice.
The contract must be returned along with your $850 retainer which will officially reserve your date on the calendar. You will be able to pay that through your digital invoice with a credit/debit card, e-check, PayPal or mail a check (you'll be able to see all those options on your invoice).
From there, I'll get you set up with your own personal client portal (home to your contract, invoice, future quesionnaires, and any other items I send you regarding your wedding photography!) and talk about any other questions you may have.
Now, let's celebrate the fact that YOU HAVE YOURSELF A WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER! I am SO, so happy and look forward to working with you!
This is a huge decision and I want you to be certain of it. Let me know if you have any questions for me and I'd be happy to help. If you're still shopping around and comparing photographers, here are some things I would consider:
1. Most importantly, find someone you can trust.
2. Find a photographer who's style compliments your vision for your wedding.
3. Price is an important factor, but remember these are the photos you'll be sharing with your family, friends, children and grandchildren. The investment is sooo worth it!
As always, if you have any questions or things you'd like to discuss, let me know!
IS THE $850 DEPOSIT AN ADDITIONAL COST?
No, it counts toward your total! The $850 is a non-refundable deposit to set your date in stone on my calendar! If you were to reschedule your wedding, a new deposit would be due to reserve the new date.
DO YOU HAVE PAYMENT PLANS AVAILABLE?
I'm really flexible with how you want to pay. As long as it is all paid in full at least 2 weeks before the wedding, you can pay however you'd like. Some couples make a payment each month, some pay in full at one time. Whatever works for you! If you'd like me to set up payment reminders for you, let me know and I can get that set up!
I'M NOT SURE IF I WANT TO ADD AN ENGAGEMENT SESSION. WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Of course, if it were up to me each an every one of my wedding couples would have an engagement session with me! Ultimately, it's up to you if you have one with me, someone else or no one at all. I’m happy to travel to you for a session, you can come out to Nebraska OR we can meet somewhere in the middle!
Here's why I love when clients book an engagement session with me:
1. It helps us really get to know each other before the day of the wedding!
2. It gets you comfortable in front of my camera. Everyone feels awkward in pictures at first, but trust me when I say you'll feel like ol' pros by the end of our session! Then when your wedding day arrives, you won't have any jitters about being in front of the camera.
3. Your engagement is an incredibly special time in your relationship and in your life. I want you to have great photos to document this time and have them to share with your kids and grandkids!
CAN WE SKYPE BEFORE WE BOOK?
You bet! If you don't plan on adding an engagement session to your wedding collection I'd LOVE to chat over FaceTime or Skype to talk all about you and your wedding!
I KNOW YOU FOCUS ON THE CANDID MOMENTS, BUT DO YOU TAKE FAMILY FORMALS AS WELL?
Yes! In fact, I think these are some of the most important photos I'll take at your wedding. And here's the cool thing about them – I want them to represent you and your families. If you aren't "stand stiffly and pose at the front of the church" type of people, let's head outside to get some naturally lit and fun photos of you and your family together! Family photos don't have to be super formal, but I do think it's important to get those shots of you all together on your wedding day!
I'M NOT GOOD IN FRONT OF A CAMERA – HELP!
Trust me, just about everyone feels that way! I will give you direction and prompts to get comfortable in front of the camera. You'll be surprised how easy and FUN it is to get your photos taken! Check out what a few of my past couples had to say about being in front of the camera!
SHOULD WE ADD A SECOND PHOTOGRAPHER?
I shoot more weddings solo than with a second shooter. However, adding a second photographer might be a good idea if you have a big wedding party or plan on having a larger wedding (250+). Something else to consider is how important it is to you have photos of you getting ready as well as your groom and the groomsmen. If you really want both of those photographed but the guys are getting ready in a completely different location, adding a second photographer is probably a good idea. Basically, adding a second photographer gets you two points of view throughout the day!
CAN WE PRINT OUR OWN PHOTOS?
Yes! You will have the rights to print your photos wherever you choose. I recommend selecting a professional print lab for best results. If you're spending money on a photographer you love, you may as well spend a little money getting those photos printed somewhere other than Walgreens (uhgggg pleeeease don't print your photos at Walgreens! If you're investing in a photographer you love, you should do their work justice by printing with a professional lab). You can order professional prints and products through your online gallery and trust me, they look dang good. In fact, I order my own photos through my online gallery because they turn out so amazing every time!
DO YOU HAVE INSURANCE?
You bet. Some venues require seeing my liability insurance. If your venue happens to need it, just let me know and I can get it to them right away!
CAN WE HAVE THE RAW IMAGES?
HOW INVOLVED ARE YOU ON A WEDDING DAY?
I like to think I'm pretty good at reading the room. I don't typically just blend into the wall but I'm also not overbearing on a wedding day. I am not afraid to move furniture around or tell people where to go and where to stand, but I also want to sit back and photograph your real interactions as they unfold. Throughout the day, I'm usually the one keeping track of the timeline and making sure you are where you need to be at the right time. During your ceremony I try to become invisible and sneak around like a ninja so as to not distract from the ceremony. I also want to have a good time and get to know your friends and family!
Here's what one of my past brides Kelsey said about me on her wedding day: "Kaylie is so easy going and does everything in her power to make your day special. And she is ALL OVER THE PLACE on your wedding day! And I mean that in a good way! She is there every second of your day and catches every moment. On our wedding day, I would be taking a selfie with my friends and she would make sure to catch the photo as well. She didn't miss anything!"
